fer cryin out loud will some one just post pics of:
- “the dial”
- the lister lever
- the rudder foil variances
Inquiring minds want to know… or all you bridge vs harbour boys and girls in a pissing contest in case someone patents something? Why else be vuisually opaque about it?
I think everyone got the message about the multi d aspect: great sailing skills/ great moth handling/great build-tweak skills etc, and the gorge reminded every one about the need to handle shifts not just starts and laylines.
The rudder size comparison thing still eludes me. Interesting item : in that lister video of foiling tacks he throws his weight around at about three minutes – 2/3 in, and basically shakes the (small?) rudder foil into cavitation – it breaks the surface – and he continues on unscathed. Makes the rudder foil/ main foil wash concerns seem almost irrelevant. Focus of rudder and rudder foil is a yaw and pitch control function, not lift… so stay forward let main foil do the heavy lifting would seem to be conclusion?.
Luka u and Dave just stik to ur guns. Those harbour dudes are just jealous that stgeorge are the fastest men in moths. Ps go dragons!!!
