Designing foils

Friday, August 8th, 2008

Over the last few weeks I have been helpingĀ Bruce design and 3D model some new foils. They are very conservative design wise, essentially a tweaked NACA63412 section.

The idea was to give Bruce something he can CNC machine on his new toy and get foils for his Moth, that should be as competitive as other current designs.

Here is a few Alias 3D Studio and Rhino renders….

  3. Hi Jean Marc

I’am sorry but can’t say that I can. I am at the XFOIL stage at the moment comparing diffrent sections for lift/drag trade off. If i come accross something a bit more advanced I’ll post a link to it….
